It was my long pending dream to visit Chennai as I had heard much about this South Indian ethnic city that had many attractions. I had heard Chennai beaches and the parks are truly great and I did not want to miss visiting the Marina Beach during my visit to this city. Hence I had to make an extensive plan before booking my tickets to this metro during my children’s vacation time. Accordingly we set on our journey with with my two naughty boys during the Christmas holidays.
Beaches and Parks in Chennai: Truly Irresistible!
We booked the train tickets and reached Chennai in the morning and as per schedule checked into Hotel Sangeetha Residency that is surrounded by the virgin beach and a few heritage buildings. We had booked two deluxe rooms which were provided with air conditioning, minibar, telephone, private bathroom and so on. After refreshing ourselves we left to visit the places of interest like Kodambakkam, the Military Aviation Museum, Backbay National Wildlife Refuge, and many more.
We had lunch at an eatery near the museum. It was serving some lip smacking dishes of the local cuisine that consisted of rice, sambhar, rasam, papad and so on. Of course Chennai has many more places to visit, but due to time limitations we just visited Marina Beach in the evening and had a lot of fun. At the beach there were a few eateries and dhabas that sold some yummy cutlets, pani puri, masala puri, dahi vada, etc. At night we retreated to the hotel room and all of us unanimously agreed we were going to come for the next vacation again to this same beautiful city called Chennai!
