Karnataka Tourism: Vibrant Worlds Meld Together Seamlessly!

Tourism being my favorite subject I have a huge collection of books and snippets on the different tourist destinations of the world. Being a travel buff I have been to beaches, hill stations, metros and so many places across the globe. This vacation I chose to go to Karnataka on a family trip. We decided to dedicate one full week to explore the wild environs and fine eateries of Karnataka and know a lot about the places and tourism of this southern state of India.

Tourism in Karnataka: Explore the Wild Environs!

I had heard a lot about it and wanted to discover its secrets, so along with my kids, in laws and husband we set forth to Karnataka. Bangalore was our first destination and it brought back the memories of my honeymoon years ago which we spent at Coorg and Chikmagalur. This time around my daughter a history buff wanted to see the heritage sites at Belur, Halebid and Hampi. From the Bangalore airport we took the road to delve into the history of the place. My son a foodie not much interested in history and old temples was on the lookout for some good eateries.

We found a dhaba on the street side doling out some Punjabi delicacies. Having our fill of food and history we headed straight to Mangalore just to rummage around the pristine beaches at Ullal. The outing here was real exhilarating. The night was spent at Taj Mahal a well known hotel with the best restaurant in the city. The local delicacies of dosai, idly with spicy sambhar and chutney satiated us. The next day we boarded the flight, our wanderlust duly satiated and carried home sweet memories about Karnataka.
