Mumbai is a coastal city. The climate of Mumbai is moderate. A cool sea breeze blows during the day providing relief to the people from the heat of the sun. There are a number of beaches in Mumbai. A lot of people visit these beaches every day. The beaches are especially popular among the tourists. The first popular seaside tourist spot we went to was the Marine Drive. This C-shaped drive is also known as the Queen’s Necklace at night. It is because it resembles a necklace during the night when the lights dotting the drive are switched on. The Marine Drive is one of the iconic landmarks of the city of Mumbai with which it is identified.
The Chowpatty Beach was the next on our way. We had our lunch at this beach as the local restaurants around this place are famous for their food. A lot of people were enjoying themselves on the beach. The sunset of the Chowpatty Beach is really famous. However, we had other plans and so we had to move on.
The Juhu Beach was next on our itinerary. It is one of the most famous beaches in the whole country. The beach is located in a very posh locality, which houses a lot of celebrities from the movie industry. They are often seen jogging on the beach in the mornings. Madh Island Beach was our next stop. This was the best beach in Mumbai because of the fact that it is the cleanest of the lot. This is one of the most popular tourist spots in the whole of Mumbai. The natural beauty of the beach is something which stands out.
The last stop for the day was at the Versova Beach. The coastline of this beach is fascinating indeed. We took a lot of photographs as all through the day we visited a lot of photogenic beaches in Mumbai. The driver enquired about what time he would come to our hotel the next day. On reaching our hotel we freshened up and retired for the day. We ordered room service and stayed indoors.
