About Gojjavalakki Banglore : Gojjavalakki is a dish made using beaten rice and I got an opportunity to taste this tangy and yummy dish at a friend’s place. The beaten rice or Poha is spiced up using Rasam powder and the tanginess comes from the use of tamarind. It also goes by the name Huli Avalakki due to its taste.
Description : As a travel job assistant I often know about the best hotels in the city, the most relaxing resorts etc. The Angsana Oasis is situated in Doddaballapur region of Bangalore and is surrounded by paddy fields and plenty of greenery. The spa is known to provide some of the best treatments in the city.
Everybody knows Bangalore as the IT hub of India. But, very less people know about the fun, the awesome climate, tourist spots, the five star resorts and the delicious cuisine of Bangalore. I am Sunita Katoch, a workaholic! But when I am not in a mood to work, I pack my back and head away to any destination which catches my fancy!
This time I had taken a weekend off from my work and made plans of visiting Bangalore. Well, I didn’t wanted to explore the city, my plan was just to check into one of the luxurious and exotic resorts of Bangalore and cool my heels and enjoy the royal touches!
I have heard a lot about the resorts in Bangalore but I was not sure on what to choose as there was a wide array of choices.
Finally I narrowed down and shortlisted the top 5 luxury resorts in Bangalore for my stay, after a lot of comparing done on the services provided by each one of them. They were: The Shreyas Retreat, Discovery Village, Ankit Vista Green Village, Goldfinch Retreat and Olde Bangalore Resort. To be frank, I liked all the 5 resorts, and was in a total confusion on which to choose. I started with the Shreyas Retreat and then proceeded to the next in my list.
The Shreyas Retreat offered
- Pool side cottages and tented garden cottages in the lush green atmosphere
- Pleasant, disciplined and calm stay away from the hush of city life
- Sophisticated spa treatments, and provision for yoga and meditation
- Organic farm giving a unique experience to the visitors.
The Discovery Village also made a great pull,
- Offers perfect cottages, ideal for romantic honeymoon couples
- Close to tourist spots like Muneshwara swamy temple, Bangalore palace, Bolare Dam, and many more interesting places.
- Vegetarian and non vegetarian delicacies provided at the multi cuisine in house restaurant.
Finally when it came to Ankit Vista Green Village, I put a sudden break and booked the room here as its beauty really tugged at my heart strings!
The minute I stepped into this haven of peace and tranquillity, I could feel the tension and strain ebb away from my body as it was an oasis amidst tall trees and long stretches of greenery. The multi cuisine restaurant named Thripthi Greens which serves Chinese to Continental and the outdoor swimming pool side restaurant Spoorthy really were our hub and the whole family enjoyed very well amidst the hearty hospitality. I bid the resort goodbye with a vow in my heart to visit it again for my next holiday!

Summarization : I got an opportunity to go fishing during my brief stay in Miami. I went to a stream nearby and we caught the river trout fish. The flesh of this fish was so clean and amazing and my friend prepared a local trout dish for me. I had the loveliest time there.
The Himalayan Village Resort Kullu is one of the best hotels in Manali and ought to impress you with its splendid mixture of world class facilities and style. The harmonious blend of aesthetics and architecture is bound to refresh your mind with its own ways in the middle of incomparable natural beauty. We were extremely tired at the end of the journey and wanted to go for a deep slumber so that we could be ready to explore Manali in the best way possible.
On waking up rejuvenated, we were completely mesmerized with the breathtaking view of the surroundings. I took a walk on the path under the deodar trees with the fresh rays of the sun enlightening me with its blissful nature. The Himalayan Village Resort Kullu is located at the bottom of a popular village known as Malana.
It is very close to Manikaran which is famous for different types of springs and being located along the river Parvati. It is also close to one of the famous pilgrimage sites in this part of the world namely tapobhoomi of Bhole Nath.
The premises of the hotel are ideal for exciting treks and are filled with huge flower valleys, crystal clear waterfalls, thick fauna and flora, etc. There is no doubt about the fact that the area is ideal for nature admirers like me and has the ability to be a memory of a lifetime with the sights of snow covered mountains in the backdrop, crystal clear night skies filled with bright stars and pristine rivers flowing down the valley.
The combination of ancient Kathkunia and pure traditional architecture along with deodar wood art, splendidly crafted teak furniture, pure brass fittings, handmade curtains of tussle silk, etc. make it a haven for tourists.
It is made up of a number of cottages each of which is fully furnished equipped with study rooms, personal lawns, dressing room, mini fridges, mini bar and toilets. Another key feature of The Himalayan Village Resort Kullu is the fact that it offers a deep insight into architecture, cuisines, culture and lifestyle of the so called Pahari people welcoming you with open arms.
